"Absolute dedication to our clients...it's the way we do things."

Who We Are

In 1990, Doug Karam and Frank Vanzler founded KVA after working together at one of the nation’s leading construction management organizations, Turner Construction. They shared a belief that leadership provided with respect and encouragement to the entire project team would result in the best outcome for their clients. For twenty-seven years, that core belief has yielded a thriving business based almost exclusively on repeat business or personal referrals.

Comprehensive Management from Start to Finish

We specialize in the following facility types:

KVA’s role as the client’s advisor is to manage the project as if it were our own, from project inception through move-in and project close-out. We start by defining and documenting project requirements and parameters. We prepare a delivery strategy that manages the plethora of risks that will or may come to bear on the project. We assemble the best qualified team of numerous experts required to design and construct the project. Finally, we execute the delivery strategy; managing the entire process on behalf of our clients. Through proactive planning and diligent pursuit of project goals, our clients reap the benefits of the highest capital and operating expense reductions – typically far in excess of the investment in our fees.

“(KVA) added value from the moment they came on board, taking over from another project management firm as we selected our builder, negotiated final contracts with both the builder and the architect, and began construction.  Now eight months into the project, we continue to enjoy the benefits of KVA’s work as Owner's Rep in all aspects of the project.” -Richard Ortner, President The Boston Conservatory, Boston, MA

“Dear Wayland High School Building Committee...Thank you for planning and organizing the construction of our new Wayland High School. The buildings are beautiful, and I’m excited to spend the rest of my senior year traveling through the hallways. After having a mere two classes in the new school, I feel at home. The learning and study spaces are comfortable, and I know I will be able to learn extensively with the new and improved technology. Thank you, again, for dedicating your time to create this space. We all truly appreciate it!!” -E.B. Student at Wayland High School
